2026 - A Much Needed Collective Awakening

2026 is bringing a dramatic and much needed energy shift! All astrological, numerological, and tarot forecasts I’ve seen and done have pointed in the same direction - collective awakening and rebirth.

Numerology of 2025 and 2026

Numerologically, 2026 is a 10 year (2+0+2+6=10) and a 1 year (1+0=1). Although different energies, 10 and 1 energy align in representing new beginnings. 10s represent the ending of a cycle, and 1s represent the beginning of a new one. With 2026 being in 10 and 1 energy, we can attribute The Magician (1), Wheel of Fortune (10), and The Sun (19) to be the cards influencing us collectively in 2026. 2025 was a 9 year (2+0+2+5=9), aligning with The Hermit (9) and The Moon (18). We are moving out of a 9 year cycle and beginning a new one!

2025 vs 2026 Energetic Differences

Hermit / Moon energy is drastically different from the Magician / Wheel of Fortune / Sun energy we are about to feel (if we don’t already). As much as I value The Hermit / Moon, they’re often not easy energies to be in for long periods of time. The Hermit brings very slow moving energy in order to force us to pay attention to what is happening internally. This initiates a long period of self-reflection, resulting in a lot of clearing, shedding, and unknowns. We have been navigating our path in the dark all year, guided only by moonlight and our Hermit lantern. We did the evolutionary work we know we needed to do, but for the most part did not enjoy the fruits of our labor. Soon, we will see that we’ve been collecting wisdom and resources along the way, necessary for the initiation of our new abundant journeys starting in 2026. 

Unlike The Moon and Hermit, Wheel of Fortune and Magician are cards of rapid change and forward motion! Both of these cards represent the connection between human beings and the divine, and are rooted in our relationship with the 4 elements; air, earth, fire, and water. With Wheel of Fortune, these elements are mostly out of our control; think big picture cosmic transformative events. Wheel of Fortune is ruled by Jupiter, symbolizing luck, expansion, and opportunity. Meaning, something substantial, whether internal or external, will be occurring in 2026! Expansion can be overwhelming, and often that is when anxiety manifests. Remind yourself that anxiety wants to keep you safe by keeping you in familiar spaces. Witness those thoughts and let them pass, knowing that you are meant to travel to new realms! Back to the elements - The Magician is all about what we do with these elements, making them in our control. We are fully embodying and expressing what wants to be channeled through us. The Magician is ruled by Mercury, the divine messenger; we will be receiving messages and bringing them into form. Expect bursts of creative inspiration! There is no more waiting for the perfect time that will never come, the time is now! With all of that forward motion comes the warmth and clarity from the Sun. The truth has been illuminated, an energetic rebirth is here, and we are showing up accordingly - authentic and confident!

Chinese astrology supports this as well - we are moving from the year of the wood snake to the year of the fire horse! The snake is connected closest with the Death card, but we do a lot of Death work in the Hermit. We are shedding old narratives to make room for new ones. The fire horse is bold, action oriented, and is not here to conform. Once again, we are being given the motivation and power to make much needed changes all around!

How I'm Already Seeing These Themes Unfold

I have been giving 2026 readings to my friends, and everyone has shown this energy shift in one way or another. These readings have opened up deeper conversations on how they have been feeling this past year, and how they resonate with their year ahead readings. This energy can present itself in different forms. Regardless, everyone is waking up.

Some people, like me, are feeling this rebirth completely internally. Using myself as an example of what this can look like, the past few years have been very intense, specifically the past 2 years to the point that I was so overwhelmed I could barely remember what happened. I felt like so much was happening, but also nothing was happening. It felt like I was in a neverending brain fog. The energy had been stagnant, and I’d been lacking motivation; up until a few months ago when I started feeling a shift that has been increasing since. The Death energy definitely increased around that time, and in the past month I have already started to feel the Magician and Sun. I have been doing years worth of internal clearing, and although that will never end, it will not take over my year. My year will be focused on connection, learning, and expressing my knowledge through creation!

For others, this internal shift has been the acknowledgement that they’re not living authentically, wanting to break the pattern they're in, and starting their inward journeys. I have many friends becoming inspired to begin their creative journeys. Lots of friends leaving long-term unaligned relationships. Dissatisfaction doesn’t even feel like an option anymore. As a collective, we put up with so much that we just don’t need to. We stay with the wrong people, we people please, we don’t try the new thing, because we’re scared of change and what others might think. We’ve tricked ourselves into thinking it’s easier to stay the same, but the blindfold has finally been ripped off. We have made space to receive the much needed clarity from the sun. 

The energy in 2026 is here to reward you for doing all of that hard work, self-introspection, shedding, and clearing. Along with clarity, the sun brings warmth. Not that our work is ever done, but I want to acknowledge that some may feel there is still a significant amount of shedding and clearing to be done in 2026. I want to assure you that you will still feel that warmth. 2026 is here to speed things up! Try not to overthink it and lean into your intuition. You know whether something is a yes or a no. If it’s a no, let it go! Energetically, this year will be an easier and more supportive time to do the hard thing!
